Are Sisters and Lab products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, most of our products are designed with sensitive skin in mind. We use natural, gentle ingredients without parabens, sulfates, or synthetic preservatives in most formulations. We always recommend a patch test before full use, especially if you have very reactive skin.

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy?

Most of our products are gentle and safe to use during pregnancy. However, every pregnancy is different, and individual sensitivities can change. We recommend doing a patch test first, and consulting with your healthcare provider if you have any specific concerns or conditions.

Where are your products made?

Our soaps are made in two locations. Our heritage soaps featuring traditional ingredients (like saffron, neem, and turmeric) are handmade in Bangladesh by women artisans on our family farm. Our California-made soaps and body care (including Body Butter Balm, Rose & Saffron Glow Mist, Bath Salt, and our California-fragranced soaps) are handcrafted in small batches in Dublin, California.

Are your products cruelty-free? Vegan?

All Sisters and Lab products are 100% cruelty-free — we never test on animals. Most of our soaps and products are vegan. Some products contain animal-derived ingredients like honey, goat milk, or beeswax — these are clearly noted on each product page.

Why do my products look or smell slightly different than expected?

Each Sisters and Lab product is made by hand in small batches, which means natural variation is part of what makes them special. The shape, color, weight, scent intensity, and even visible elements (like dried flower placement or color swirls) may differ slightly from batch to batch and from product photos.

These variations are not defects — they're a sign that your product was made by real hands, with real ingredients, in a real kitchen or production studio rather than a factory line. We see this as part of the craft and the story.

How long do orders take to ship?

We process orders within 1-3 business days. Once shipped, US orders typically arrive within 3-7 business days via UPS or USPS. You'll receive tracking information by email when your order ships.

What's your return policy?

Due to the personal and handmade nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at sistersandlab@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery, including photos. We review each case individually and will work with you to find a fair resolution. Please note: we are not able to offer replacements automatically — each situation is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United States only. We're working on expanding international shipping in the near future — sign up for our newsletter to be notified when international shipping becomes available.
